Overview

Learn how to implement effective teaching strategies in a college or university classroom through this free 8-week massive open, online course (MOOC).  This course is designed for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars and provides an introduction to evidence-based teaching strategies as well as methods for assessing teaching and learning. This MOOC draws on the expertise of experienced STEM faculty, educational researchers, and staff from university teaching centers, many of them affiliated with the CIRTL network. For more information about the course, visit its website

Connect with other UIC MOOC participants through a learning community aimed at enhancing learning and keeping participants on track with course material. In these weekly meetings, participants will discuss course topics and lessons learned through the MOOC material. This fall the MOOC-Centered Learning Community (MCLC) meets weekly on Mondays from 1:30-2:30 PM CT beginning the week of September 27 through the week of November 21 via Zoom.
